Privacy Policy

This policy covers information Hanover Tech LLC handles as a controller — that is, information about you, our customer. Information your application collects about your end users is yours, and you are the controller for it; we process that under the Data Processing Addendum.
What we collect about you
- Account details: your name, email address, business name, and country.
- Project content: your answers to our discovery questions, your specification,
and anything you upload or write in the platform.
- Billing records: what you were charged, what you paid, and when. Card details
go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them.
- Usage and security records: sign-in times, IP address, and an audit log of
actions taken in your account.
Why we use it
To build and operate your project, to bill you, to notify you about your project, to keep the platform secure, and to meet our legal obligations. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it to train models.
How long we keep it
Account and project records for as long as you have an account, then 24 months. Billing records for seven years, as tax record-keeping requires. Audit logs for 24 months. Sign-in tokens for 20 minutes.
Who we share it with
Our subprocessors, listed at /factory/policies/subprocessors/, each under a written agreement limiting them to processing on our instructions. Otherwise only where the law requires it, and we will tell you unless legally barred from doing so.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or object to how we use it. Email privacy@hanovertech.net and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you have the rights the GDPR gives you, including the right to complain to your supervisory authority. If you are a Virginia resident you have the rights the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act gives you, including the right to appeal a refusal.
Cookies
We set one session cookie so you stay signed in, and one short-lived cookie during sign-in. Both are strictly necessary and neither is used for advertising. We do not run third-party advertising or tracking on the platform.
Children
Project Factory is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. Projects directed to children under 13 are outside what we accept.
